Welcome to the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Division of Humanities and Social Science provides courses meeting general education requirements for associate and bachelor degrees as well as preparation for specialized majors. Also, classes are offered through the Developmental Studies program to aid students who demonstrate a need for additional academic preparation before enrolling in college-level courses. In addition, the Humanities and Social Science division oversees the Honors Program and also coordinates the college’s cultural series.
