The Department offers several educational opportunities for obtaining a two-year associate’s degree or short-term certificate:

Associate of Science:  For students desiring a two-year degree program designed to transfer to a four-year institution toward an undergraduate baccalaureate degree, the Department offers the transfer University Parallel Major with concentrations in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Education, Computer Science, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Industrial Management, Information Systems, Office Management, and Pre-Engineering.

Associate of Applied Science degree:   For students desiring a two-year, non-transfer degree program designed to prepare them to enter the workforce in a particular career-related field, sustaining an existing career, or seeking specifically defined career growth opportunities, the Department offers the Business Technology Major with concentrations in Accounting, Business Computer Applications, Business Computer Programming, and Management.  The Department also offers a special General Technology Major specifically designed for Tennessee Technology Center graduates as another option to continue their education.

Certificate Programs:  For students who are not seeking a two-year degree but who are seeking a short-term program in a concentrated area to develop or update career skills, the Department offers certificate programs in General Business, Business Information Systems, Microcomputer Information Systems, and Computer Programming.
